NFPA complete unit vs bare shell

A bare shell is the leather outer only. No liner package, no earflaps, no eye protection, no chin strap. Some shops list shells that way. We do not sell empty shells as ready structural lids.

An NFPA complete unit is the configured lid we price and stock for structural service: leather shell plus the liner, earflaps, ESS eye protection, combo chin strap, and lime tetrahedrons that make up the complete package on our product pages. We use the same dealer language already on our collections and stocking pages. We sell finished NFPA complete units. We do not sell empty shells as NFPA lids. Your department still sets the final compliance path (most structural departments want NFPA 1971). Call if your SOPs call for a different package.
